STARTING POINT

Starting in high school and throughout my college career, I had always wanted to put my skills to use in kingdom work. I had always envisioned this as doing volunteer work or joining a ministry at church. When I graduated, my first "out-of-college" job was at a small start-up in San Diego. Instead of joining a media-related ministry, all of my creative energy was drained at work. After two years and a lot of prayer, I decided to quit my job and pursue whatever God had in store for me. I didn't know what that would look like, and I braced myself for the possibility of moving back home while I figured it out.

AS I BEGAN TO SERVE, I EXPERIENCED GOD’S FAITHFULNESS FIRSTHAND.

A few weeks before I put in my two-weeks’ notice, I became connected with The Cultivation Project. It was almost miraculous how much the vision aligned with my calling. As I began to serve, I experienced the faithfulness of God firsthand. He kept me in San Diego, and every time I started to seriously consider moving back or taking up a new part-time job, He would consistently provide me with freelance jobs that would just fall into my lap. Last year, I committed to working for TCP as my main employment, supplemented by freelance. I currently serve as the lead editor, working on many of the video projects, overseeing the progress of other videos, and supporting in pre-production scripting.

I am confident that God will continue to provide. I would love for that to be through the support of the body of Christ, but I'm leaving that up to Him and you. Please continue to pray for this ministry, that our videos educate and bless the people who watch them, and that we can continue to be a resource for churches, ministries, and missionaries to tell their stories.
